Chris is one of our Sydney team of professional removalists at Hire A Mover. Read on to get to know a bit more about him, the time he moved a coffin for someone and his top tip for a smooth move…
My name is Chris, and I was born in the Philippines. My Mum’s Phillipino and my Dad’s from Tasmania, and we lived there for about eight years. I travelled around quite a bit when I was younger, so a lot of moving!
For five and a half years now.
We’ve been working in Pyrmont today, moving up to Mona Vale.
My favourite would be around the Eastern Suburbs and the North Shore.
What’s the most unusual thing you’ve had to move for someone?
I had to move a coffin once…
No no one, but the same lady also had a big cross for us to move as well. That would be the most memorable one.
We’ve had a few longer trips up to Newcastle and other places, I turn my bluetooth on and play my own music and if I get tired of that, then I’ll turn on the radio.
I listen to anything really but I like a bit more rock ’n’ roll.
Something like this…?
When did you last move house yourself?
Nearly two years ago.
Lastly, what is your top tip for a smooth move?
Have everything ready to go, that’s the best tip I can give. Have everything ready for when we arrive; all the bed’s disassembled, boxes organised and no clutter. Having everything clear really helps!
